It's interesting seeing people upset about these mechanics being added. These things are what I would assume are pretty standard for adventurer/explorer types.
One of the most heartbreaking things is I think that at this point we won't ever see any incredible scenes with Malfurion unleashing his true power. Truly is one of my favorite characters.
Some will complain that their races that don't get good treatment or story but there is one race that had the perfect full arc and story conclusion and its Draenei by a mile
You’re not going to retain an audience by telling them that their 20 years of investment needs to be wiped clean to make it simpler for a hypothetical new set of customers.
You’re just going to make them question if it’s worth continuing the sunk-cost fallacy they have for WoW.
The state of the story in the game, the rushing through plots, the letting go of main characters for a new guard to come in... It almost really does feel that WoW may be being designed in the hopes for a new/future audience. And I feel the dedicate fan base are suffering for it.
There are things that are great in the game for everyone. But the story, the world, the characters we all grew up on? They aren't getting the justice they absolutely deserve.
I really hope that Atlantis is horrific. It was just so not what I expected Atlantis would be like and that was absolutely one of the best parts about it.
Do yall think that the lower rating for Legacy of Atlantis could mean that Atlantis itself isn’t gory or scary? I just hope it’s not limited in a significant way.
I DONT want anniversary 2.0, idc. I’d be very disappointed and not as into the game if that happens.
For the foreseeable future I will be discussing lots about Tomb Raider, Spyro, Resident Evil, and more. I am so excited for the future of some of my very favorite franchises.
And you know what? I'm feeling myself today.
The insane amount of dedication from the pvpers is insane to me because they are starved for content.
The trend of saying games are "dead" has gotten out of hand. So many "dead" games have thousands of players and people act like that's nothing.
Jordan is completely correct.
I think WoW has damaged a lot of people’s perspectives on how many players 150k is.
Literally just taking Solo shuffle, 99% of games WISH they had that many active players in their entire game.
There are no caveats you need to provide. You don’t have to pander to my fellow PvE cucks.
PvP needs and deserves more attention than it gets. Random new arenas/bgs and tuning is like bare minimum and these numbers still stay this high.
I’ve said it before a few times, the commitment WoW PvPers have to this game will always baffle me because they invest in product that hasn’t invested in them in 10 years. And it’s because even at its lowest amount of attention there’s nothing else like it and Blizzard execs know that so they know they can get away with assigning bare minimum resources to it.
I am piggy backing off of my own post and another. @tomkektv stated that they seem to view the game as "revolving around the current storyline whereas probably most players don't care that much about it and focus more on wow as a broader world".
This. Blizzard. I am talking directly to you. Majority of your players never asked for many of the playable races. People have widely asked for Ogres, Arakkoa, Sethrakk, etc. But you won't put them in, and instead you neglect legacy races and put in races no one asked for. You-!
Not only that, but again, when will legacy races get their customizations, when will warband reps, etc be fully backtracked, etc. etc. etc. I have more I could say but I don't have it in me to type out more right now. I do not care to engage with vitriolic comments.
If you're being weird, obnoxious, or hostile, I likely will not respond and will ignore you. I just want to promote conversation in the community. I want the game to improve. Frankly, my engagement with the game is at an all time low right now. But I do still love it.
