I have come to Canberra to confront Anthony Albanese on his lack of committing $3.9 quadtrillion to fund the joint Newport Workshops & Comeng Heritage Restoration Fund. I am outraged!!

Tripods are overrated, might I suggest a railway torch and a fence post instead?

Everyone jokes about old trains being turned into cat food tins, but the scrapped Comeng trains might've actually ended up as reinforcing bar in new railway bridges. youtube.com/watch?v=gdXJcyJN…

With the day winding down, a new train officially in service & filled soul from all the lovely people that were out and about today; here are a handful of my fav XT2 shots that I've snapped in the lead up to today.

Every time I see the "trains won't fit' gaffe, it's a different number, truely incredible.

The X'trapolis 2.0 is Melbourne's next generation of train; soon to debut on the Craigieburn, Upfield and Frankston lines I was kindly invited by the project team this week for a sneak peak inside the train, here's some photos and thoughts from me (1/9)🧡

These two images were taken by @astro_reid only minutes apart. The stark difference is the result of camera settings. In the first, a longer shutter speed let in much more light from Earth, while the shorter shutter speed in the second emphasizes our planet's nighttime glow.

Had a bit of a shock today when I opened the cab only to find these two guys sitting there. They were a bit quiet and didn’t really contribute much to the conversation, but lovely to have them accompany me. 🐀😸
