Girlbossing gets tiring when you realize you have been working your whole life!! 🥲 First for your family, then for everyone else, and somewhere in between you forgot to work for yourself too. This past week humbled me a little 🤧 I came back from a trip dealing with nausea, a relentless cough, and honestly just feeling pretty awful. From the outside, it probably looked like I disappeared for a bit. But behind the scenes, I was still working on agency projects, brand partnerships, strategy, and all the little things that keep the business moving forward. It was also a reminder that not every productive week looks the same! Say it with me: MINDSET AFFECTS EVERYTHING 🗣 Not in a cheesy "just believe and it'll happen" way, but more in the sense that your emotions can easily start making decisions for you if you're not careful. A slow week can convince you nothing is working. A rejection can make you question your abilities. One bad day can suddenly feel like a reflection of your entire business. The reality is that most of us are figuring things out as we go. That's why I've been trying to focus less on how I feel in a given moment and more on whether I'm continuing to show up and do the work. Time is the most expensive resource in any business. There is a reason so many companies outsource social media management, content creation, editing, and strategy. It is not because they are incapable of doing it themselves. It is because someone still has to spend the hours planning, creating, analyzing, and improving it. That is what makes me laugh when people dismiss content creation as “just posting videos.” Almost anything can be learned. The question is whether you have the time to learn it well and execute it consistently. Time is what businesses are really paying for. #ugc #ugccreator #ugccommunity

Repeat clients kept my business healthy, but they also exposed a blind spot in my content strategy 🫠 I was looking through my tracker for May and noticed almost /every/ collaboration came from a repeat client. Which is AMAZINGGG but it also made me realize that I haven't really been bringing many new people into my world lately?? It honestly makes sense... because I haven't posted consistently in over a month and a half. Ever since my NYC trip in March, getting back into a routine has been WAY harder than I expected. For a while I kept thinking I just needed to get back to posting the way I used to, but that was actually the problem. If posting 5x a week has felt impossible, then posting 3x a week is quite literally the better move!! 3 > 0 everyyy single time. I think sometimes we outgrow our systems, sometimes we get bored of our content, and sometimes what worked before just doesn't anymore. Trial and error is NORMAL. Pivoting is NORMAL. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise or make you feel bad for that 😤 #ugc #ugccreator #ugccommunity

Through people's comments and lived experiences, I pitched a skit concept centered around a specific persona: the underprepared job hunter. Key creative decisions behind this concept: - Landed on a career fair setting to emphasize a micro moment of the persona - Creating two distinct character aesthetics - Overlaying audio to emulate real conversation flow - Scripted using language words the audience actually uses The goal wasn't to explain the program. my creator-app, creator vault, launched exactly 2 weeks ago, and we've had 49 total brand opportunities in that time. 🥳🥳 since then, creators have been messaging me frustrated about the amount of brand opportunities in the app... and I want to make something SUPER clear. 1. when you apply to brand deals on FREE sourcing platforms (cohley, insense, backstage, etc), sure there are thousands more opportunities, BUT you are going up against hundreds-thousands of other creators. in GROW, you're going against a smaller creator pool, and the only other creators who are applying are the ones who have subscribed to this tier. this solves the oversaturation problem from the brand's POV and the creators' POV. 2. every opportunity is vetted. as the founder and CEO of CV, one of the main reasons I built this platform was to protect creators' time and energy. the opportunities inside the app are all sourced from my network and my previous clients. every brand agency inside the app does not have a reputation for ghosting creators, paying late, or treating creators poorly. this is one of the core missions of creator vault, and the grow opportunities reflect that. 3. the GROW section is fueled by one person: me. for the past 3 years, I've been a full-time content creator, but now I'm a full-time app founder!!!! my priorities have shifted and even in the past few weeks, I've turned down opportunities with major names and redirected them to our GROW subscribers. I can't wait for yall to see the brand deals I bring into the app, and I am so excited to see yall win. I don't owe any users an explanation for the amount of brand deals in the app (cause in my opinion, almost 25 per week is incredible), but if you've been feeling like its not enough, keep in mind that I am the one sourcing, onboarding, pitching, vetting, and maintaining every brand relationship inside GROW. feedback is super important and I'm so grateful that my community in this space feels comfortable enough to let me know how CV can improve. Proud to have completed the Motion Creative Strategy Bootcamp 🎉 May was one of my busiest months, and it reminded me that time is everyone's most limited resource. There were definitely moments when it would've been easier to put this on the back burner. But one of the things I appreciated most about @motionapp_ was the flexibility. I was able to learn at my own pace, catch up when life got busy, complete the exam, and earn my certificate without sacrificing the quality of the experience 😌 I joined because I wanted to become a stronger creative partner for my clients, deepen my understanding of creative strategy, and sharpen my analytical thinking around paid social. As a UGC creator, it also reinforced something I've always believed: the best creative execution starts with strong strategic thinking.
