Grades are often seen as the final word on a student's ability.
But students grow over time, and assessment results should reflect that.
So, let's consider using portfolios or multi-step tasks where students can show growth across multiple checkpoints, not just once.

When BC had Prov. Exams, was a great chance to collaborate with other Ts on assmt; now, I participate in co-marking with my math dept. I'm leading a session at #NWmath2024 that will include a collaborative assessment session to dive into proficiency levels (and SBG).
