20 years ago today, a little web site named “Quizilla” was launched. I know, cuz I was there.

My own little lion was overjoyed watching the ⁦@Lionesses⁩ win today. This is her “overjoyed” face, I promise.

I got up at 8am on a Sunday to Watch @Lionesses battle @DFB_Frauen, so this had better be good! I’m torn on who to cheer for, but since my spouse has a farm in Bedfordshire named after their family I think I’ll have to be behind @Lionesses! #WEURO2022
My wife put on her own socks for the first time today since her hip replacement surgery 3 months ago, so I made (bought) her some socks cake to celebrate!

I'm not going to say anything about politics today other than how amused I am that the sentence "there was ketchup dripping down the wall" is now in an official Federal Government document.

(Quick! Someone needs to one-up me by finding official transcriptions of "dingleberry" and "hootenanny"!)
“Garburator”, “Hoover”, and “Swiffer” are objectively good names for a dog, even though they are trademarks.
My fancy-schmancy 38-inch 21:9 monitor died on me today, so I had to pull a spare from storage. I remember the first time I sat in front of one of these and wondered why anyone needed something this big… now I think “eh, I guess it’ll do, but it’s a little bit cramped…”

Idea for new book genre: Romance for MBAs. I highborn young lady meets a brash young man from the wrong side of town. Their parents forbid the union. They run away to start a small business, selling artisanal fishing hats at a responsible profit margin & reliable supply chain.
It seems like Musk & Co will be reading each and every Tweet on Twitter now, to see who is a bot and who's not: arstechnica.com/tech-policy/… We could all help out by tweeting variations of "Hey Elon, I'm totally not a bot!". Every 20 minutes, maybe? Yeah, I think that'd be helpful.
Also, look at the budget for any Star Wars film and I’ll wager at least 40% is for hats. Seriously, every Star Wars costumer ever has had a major jonesing for extreme haberdashery.

Idea to improve the new Obi Wan Kenobi movie: make “Gungan” be the default audio track.
Corner of Bush and Powell in SF, April 27 2022. It was a nice morning for a cat hug, ⁦@ian_the_meow

At #trailblazerdx, hearing all about “low code” (programming without writing lots of code) and I’m thinking “haven’t we had that for decades? It’s called ‘compiler macros’”.
Me: "Why hasn't someone invented a smart speaker for Dogs?" Also me: "Oh yeah, it already exists, it's called 'people'."
I'm heartbroken to say that on Mar 29, 2022, I bid goodbye to best friend of 14 years. If there is a someone that you love, go find them this second and give them a hug; you won't regret it. No one ever regretted spending too much time who they love. facebook.com/photo/?fbid=101…
