The Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Republic of
#Somaliland, Abdillahi Hassan Adan, attended a high-level regional trade and economic integration summit in Nairobi,

During the summit, Minister Abdilahi emphasized Somaliland's dedication to regional trade integration, viewing it as a vital engine for economic resilience, peace, and job creation. He detailed
#Somaliland's significant infrastructure investments, most notably the modernization and expansion of the Berbera Port. Additionally, he highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at digitizing customs systems, streamlining supply chain operations, and enhancing the overall competitiveness of regional trade corridors to facilitate the seamless movement of goods.
The broader discussions at the summit centered on the role of trade in large-scale job creation and how global events impact African commerce, with participants exploring ways to mitigate non-tariff barriers, reduce costs, and harmonize regional policies. Concluding his address, Minister Abdilahi reaffirmed his government's commitment to private sector-led development and called for strengthened collaboration between African nations and international development partners to unlock new investment opportunities and ensure sustainable economic growth across the continent.
