Vietnam yesterday, Thailand last week. Nations telling their people to stay indoors as it’s too hot outside to survive, even in the shade. This is caused by oil, gas & coal. And we now have the ability to replace those fossil fuels with electrification & renewables. @POTUS? @JustinTrudeau? @Dave_Eby New fossil fuel projects mean more lives lost.
Imagine a world where it gets so hot that there are warnings not to go outside. It might sound like a scenario from a scifi movie, but that's what happened in Vietnam yesterday, where temps broke all-time records with a high of 44.1C (111.38F) bit.ly/3M4NQUJ
