Chien-Ming Wang made his major league debut on this day in 2005, pitching seven innings against the Blue Jays. Wang would become a fixture in the Yankees rotation, winning 19 games in consecutive years beginning in 2006. The same year he finished 2nd for the AL Cy Young Award.
