You can’t run a ‘people first’ campaign and misuse the people’s funds. OCF just fined Janeese Lewis George’s campaign $16K for unlawfully coordinating with unions. This underscores what we already knew: she can’t be trusted. Worse? She straight up lied about it. Her pattern of unethical behavior proves she’s unfit to lead our city.

The numbers with a certain demo may not exactly be screaming “run it back” yet, but Pete keeps showing up. And ya gotta give credit for doing the work instead of just wishing the work was done.

Pretty good, nuanced take from Rabb, who is DSA and would usually rankle my feathers on just about any topic. But he’s not wrong about the uneven standards applied to certain members of the Democratic caucus versus others, no matter where you sit on the far left-to-center spectrum. x.com/naaycoqui/status/20647…

@yemisi speaks the truth here about Graham Platner, his lies and his campaign. “The risk of running someone who avoids the truth is that the truth shows up to your door anyways.”

Father God, I come to you as your humble servant begging progressives to take off their Gaza glasses and look at our opponent through the eyes of a normal voter.
I just cast my 10,000th consecutive roll call vote without missing a single one. It remains the honor of my life to show up and stand up for the people of Maine every single day.

Some of y’all would let a blind man lead you straight off a cliff. He knew about the tattoo. He is lying to you. You are in a narcissistic gaslighting relationship with a weak candidate. This is abnormal and it didn’t have to be this way.

I’m sorry, Platner does not sound like someone who is comfortable being held accountable. “It shouldn’t be like this” umm well what’s done in the dark comes to light. Voters in Maine may decide they don’t care about this, but whew.

It’s so frustrating watching the party make Black candidates jump through hoops and be damn near perfect just to be trusted, while an unwashed white guy with a Nazi tattoo and a history of disturbing behavior gets an almost cult-like defense.

Senator Whitehouse, respectfully, this is why comms staffers need to lock folks down. Calling allegations about this kind of behavior “a lot of nothing” is not the position any elected should want to take today. We’re better than that kind of flippant disregard.
Dem Sen. Whitehouse says he’s “not impressed” by the allegations against Graham Platner in the latest NYT report. “Seems like a lot of nothing. I mean, the only one who had anything to say that seemed ‘unsettling’ was a woman who works for right-wing political operations.”

Platner canceled a sit down when Eugene Daniels, Jonathan Capehart, and Anthony Coley were at the table just days ago. I would’ve loved to watch three Black men discuss the Nazi-tattoo with him.
JUST ANNOUNCED: @chrislhayes will speak with Maine Democratic Senate candidate @grahamformaine for his first national interview following reporting on his alleged behavior in past relationships. Tune in to @allinwithchris at 8 p.m. ET tonight on @MSNOWNews.

That’s LaPhonza Butler in the video, who would later go on to become Senator LaPhonza Butler of California. She is a total badass with the calmest energy, which is exactly why she’s not someone you want to test. Everyone should have someone like her in their life. She’s the best.

Kenyan McDuffie is endorsed by Eric Holder, former Attorney General under Barack Obama. DSA’s Janeese Lewis George is endorsed by Trayon White, who was expelled from the DC Council over federal bribery allegations. The contrast tells you a lot.

Yeah, Hunter Biden has a resume full of nepo baby fuck-ups, but as someone who has actually been around him, I gotta tell y’all: the man has charm. And if the bar for political backgrounds has been lowered, but the rizz factor still matters…well then…
I kneel. Hunter Biden is a king

Good to see Sen. Mark Warner, my former boss and a former tech guy, and Sen. Mike Rounds receive the Bipartisan Leadership on AI Award. Congress won’t make meaningful progress on AI if we stay divided. This is exactly the kind of bipartisan leadership the moment requires.

Love Sen. Warner acknowledging that Virginia is the data center capital of the world. Yes, we need smart policy and guardrails. But a complete moratorium, like Sanders is suggesting, completely misses the mark and misunderstands the issue.

Kevin O’Leary delivering a very passionate speech about data centers with lots of applause lines. “We have got to change the narrative on what data centers are. They’re very different than they were 20 years ago.” Also, Kevin saying he got FERC’d (it’s an agency) is sending me.

We’re all bookmarking this, right? I’ll be circling back to Elizabeth “he’s my kinda guy” Warren soon.
WSJ reports from inside the senators meeting with Platner. Some interesting details where his biggest backers pressed him if any additional allegations were coming. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders asked Platner if any additional allegations would emerge against the embattled Democratic candidate, according to people familiar with the discussion. Platner said there weren’t any. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who also attended the meeting, followed up and said there is a big difference between marital issues and allegations of sexual assault, the people said. Platner agreed and denied any credible allegations of assault were forthcoming.  wsj.com/politics/policy/sena…
