Photosynthesis My curated archive of photos, art, ads, people, landscapes, objects & more that have been saved for over the past two decades as a personal reference for inspiration. The collection consists of more than 25,000 images that were meticulously organized, cropped, sorted and transformed into reimagined pixel artwork. All of the images are 888 x 888 pixels in actual size while the pixels for the artwork are enlarged to 22 x 22 pixels. The complete collection is 888 pieces. The number 8 to me symbolizes an ongoing continuous cycle. I found it very fitting to the idea behind this project and also to the title, Photosynthesis. These images were once used for various reasons initially and then they took on a new life as a part of my archive. Many of these images helped the creative process in my own work over the years. Now they are taking on a new life in becoming this pixel art project forever inscribed on Bitcoin.
