Great day at Southwick Park, home of the Royal Military Police (RMP) before our Easter break in March. Our @yourCOPC @yourCOPCsixth Cadets and UPS students had an insight into the RMP, with a careers talk, RMP practical at a crime scene & arresting & self defence practical. #RMP

Great to have our Year 1 UPS students lead their respective sessions as part of their unit in February : Teamwork, Leadership and Communication in the UPS. These sessions count towards this unit as part of their assessment. @yourCOPC @yourCOPCsixth

We took trip to the DCCT at HMS Excellent in January & February where our 1st and 2nd year Cadets tried their hand at the DCCT (Dismounted Close Combat Trainer). They practised their skills in prone and standing positions ranging from 25m-300m. 🟒🟀⚫️ @yourCOPCsixth @yourCOPC

Throwback to December when we took our @yourCOPC @yourCOPCsixth UPS students to Bowlplex in Gunwharf for our annual Christmas πŸŽ„ get together! The teams pitted themselves against each other in the bowling alley & the Christmas Quiz, which was organised by 2, Year 1 students πŸ‘πŸΌ

Back in November, it was a privilege to witness the pass out of LPTQC 71 (Leading Physical Trainers Qualifying Course) πŸ‘πŸΌβš“οΈ The impressive display showcased the LPTQC 71 PTIs and what the 26-week course entails and also celebrated the traditional ways sailors used to keep fitπŸ’™πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Our first visit of the new academic year, it was fantastic to have the @RoyalNavy come into @yourCOPCsixth @yourCOPC in October to speak to and give an insight into the many roles of The Royal Navy. They ran a session to work on Teamwork, Leadership & Communication too! βš“οΈπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ’™

Having passed their weapon handling, our Cadets took aim in our Air Rifle Range shoot @yourCOPC @yourCOPCsixth back in October to give them experience of live firing and working on their groupings with some brilliant scores 🎯 #CCF
