I play fantasy football PL every year with a group of guys I know. We put up a prize pool that the top 3 split. As I am also invested in web3 I have thought for awhile that it would be a big improvement on fantasy football model to be able to buy and sell players. Trump becomes president again and the whole market immediately gets excited, everyone thinks the bull is saved and then on literally day one he launches his coin as the official memecoin of the administration which instantly pumps to a $70B FDV and sucks all the liqudity out of the market, but turns out he sold it to friends the night before.. then like four hours later Melania launches her token, which turns out to be a scam, and rugs the entire MAGA meme ecosystem in one shot, then his son tells us to buy Eth which is only down since then and posts on x showing $800M in crypto profits for the family right after $18B got vaporized on 10/10 and all our coins went to 0 on the exchanges, meanwhile Barron somehow turns his allowance into a $100M portfolio while the rest of us are down so bad we’re hoping a lighter point will be worth $250, Bitcoin is sitting under $100k, alts are lower than they were two years ago, down 50% in a month and still 90% below their ATHs despite the president being pro crypto and this being the cycle where institutions finally buy our bags.
