79% of Africa's wealth is locked in assets that can't move, land you can't borrow against, businesses with no credit history, savings that inflation eats alive. @CantonNetwork just proved private, compliant asset settlement works at scale. That infrastructure exists now. Now, the question is not whether Africa should tokenise its real-world assets, but why we are still waiting.

Tokenization is not a getting rich quick game. But about rewriting who gets to participate in wealth creation. Africa can set an example: inclusive, impactful, and built on our strengths. Builders, let’s prototype. Policymakers, let’s create enabling sandboxes. Investors, let's look homeward. There is alpha and purpose on this soil here.

💡#PERSPECTIVE Most market revolutions begin as "plumbing." The technologies that ultimately reshape financial markets are often dismissed as operational upgrades, invisible to most participants until they become indispensable. From electronic exchanges to SWIFT, ETFs, cloud computing, and now tokenization, the pattern remains remarkably consistent. 👇

Africa has 65% of the world's uncultivated arable land. Most of it sits idle because farmers can't prove ownership, banks won't lend against it, and investors can't buy in. Tokenisation fixes all three. At the same time.

It is a fact, that most if Nigerians will never own a piece of Lagos Island real estate. Not because they are not hardworking. But, bcause the minimum ticket is ₦50M and the system was never designed for them. That's not a personal failure, rather a structural one. Tokenisation changes should this math.

Africans sent $100B home last year. Paid $8B in fees to do it. Then watched inflation eat whatever was left. Tokenised dollar assets on-chain won't fix everything. But owning a piece of a US treasury from your phone in Accra, without a US bank account, is a different kind of quiet power.

Day 4 of 20: @CantonNetwork ecosystem series. Day 1: @digitalasset built the rails. Day 2: @The_DTCC committed to running on them. Day 3: @GoldmanSachs built a tokenization platform on Canton. Today: @jpmorgan's Kinexys. 🧵

Africa doesn't need crypto speculation. We need our assets to work for us. ₦50M locked in land nobody can trade. Farms with no collateral value. Infrastructure that can't raise capital. Tokenisation isn't a trend here, it is an infrastructure we should've had 30 years ago.

Land is sitting there, trillions in value, mostly informal, impossible to borrow against or trade easily. One bad season and a farmer loses everything. Tokenise the title. Fractional ownership. Instant liquidity. This is how we can finally turn dead capital into living wealth. Who's building the rails for it?

Day 2 of 20: @CantonNetwork ecosystem series. Yesterday: @digitalasset built the rails. Today: the @The_DTCC just committed to running on them. This one changes the entire calculus for institutional blockchain. 🧵

Canton has zero retail users after 18 months and just became the most valuable infrastructure play in fintech. Why? Because when Goldman needs privacy-preserving settlement, they're not going to use your DEX with 12 Discord mods.

Imagine a Kenyan farmer tokenizing part of his land or harvest on blockchain, unlocking capital without selling it all. A young Nigerian buying fractional shares in African real estate from her phone. That is the power of RWA tokenization. Africa shouldn't just watch this revolution. We built mobile money. Time to lead o tokenisation too. What asset in your community should be tokenized first? #AfricaFirst

Most people only see the headlines when it comes to tokenization. What they don’t see is the infrastructure, partnerships, compliance work, and operational systems being built behind the scenes to make institutional adoption possible. That is why ecosystem growth matters. In May, @trize_io achieved several milestones, from launching Kairos Digital Loan Notes on Canton Network to expanding its leadership team and strengthening its institutional footprint. The bigger story is what these milestones represent. Tokenization is moving beyond experiments and into real-world deployment. Assets are being issued, infrastructure is going live, and institutions are becoming more comfortable operating in digital markets. This is how new financial systems are built. Not through a single announcement, but through consistent progress across technology, regulation, partnerships, and education. Every step brings the industry closer to a future where real-world assets can move more efficiently, transparently, and securely across digital networks. The transition from pilot programs to live institutional infrastructure is already underway. ☞ Follow @trize_io to track how real-world assets, private credit, and institutional blockchain adoption continue to evolve.

#PEOPLE Great conversations at the #FinteQC Conference. One key takeaway: the future of digital finance will be built at the intersection of research, infrastructure, and real-world market deployment. Proud to have contributed to the discussion through the Kairos Digital Loan Notes case study and the work being done with the T-RIZE Labs Research Chair at @etsmtl . #Tokenization #DigitalAssets #TRIZELabs #Fintech

TRIZE Explainer,
What is TRIZE, and why does it matter? I've noticed that many people hear terms like tokenization, institutional blockchain, and digital assets without fully understanding what they mean. That is one reason I find the @trize_io ecosystem interesting. At a simple level, @trize_io focuses on helping build the infrastructure needed for tokenization and institutional blockchain adoption. But infrastructure is only one part of the equation. What stands out to me is the emphasis on ecosystem development, community participation, education, and long-term growth. As blockchain technology continues to evolve, successful ecosystems will need more than technical solutions. They'll need trust, collaboration, and people who understand how to participate effectively. In my view, that is why ecosystems like @trize_io matter alot as they are helping explore how technology, institutions, and communities can work together to support broader adoption. learn more: t-rize.io Follow us @trize_io
