This is just a temporary hype and a joke. We are really in an AI bubble - we want to slap AI into anything and everything. This has happened many time - the dot com bubble where there was a race for having a .com for everything, then there was the era where we saw Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and IoT being slapped into anything and everything.
It is such a wastage of compute resources and seeing such expensive cameras being used for such dumb processes is really making my heart sync.
Humanoid robots are built for some selective use cases and Indian household doing common tasks like folding clothes do not have any kind of business scope anywhere. Human labour is still cheap and no body wants a robot that can fold clothes and all. There are already machines that increase the productivity of housewives.
Let these women have some extra income in peace and don't create unnecessary fear or hype about it. It is a bubble and it is going to collapse soon.
