i feel like the constant reiteration of “the silent princess can only bloom in the wild” should have tipped you off that zelda, constricted since childhood, was gonna get a second chance to live her life just like link and not be on the brink of death while he’s still young
Zelda not being old was so lame. Imagine how shocking it would have been to finally see her and she looks like Impa.

how can you not see what she did as putting link’s happiness above her own? how can you watch her *ask* for the ocarina, not forcibly take it, and still put the blame solely on her? the zelda fandom has got to get over its hatred towards complex female characters.

the lack of empathy given to zelda and the lack of agency given to link by fans is so confounding to me. link could’ve just not given zelda the ocarina and then she wouldn’t have been able to punish herself by sending away the only person left who cares about her.
Zelda probably didn't do exactly the right thing by sending link back. It was well intentioned, but that world was already over for Link. He can't even cash in on his heroic reputation to build a new life. She really screws him, here.
