The more i think on it, the more it seems that the "problem" the series is facing is an identity crisis: is MH an immersive fantasy game about persevering in an untamed wilderness through forethought, or is it a boss-rush game with a focus on reactive executive skill?
we joke about how some games in the series seem to be "Monster Fighter" rather than monster hunter but that is more or less what's gonna happen if the dev team continues to cater to players that seem to dislike everything besides the exact frame they land a cool attack animation
