Maintaining broad based support for net zero means cutting emissions whilst delivering growth, reducing cost of living and not telling people they can't live the lives they want. Clean power, electrification of transport & heat allow this. Indeed, they can be an upgrade.

BREAKING NEWS❗ The UK heat pump had a bumper year with 63% market growth. Still a long way to go but if maintained in future years the UK would meet its 600,000 heat pumps installed per year in 2028 target. Source is @HeatPumpAssoc

Well what can I say other than … Wow to those 8 years! ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 I started with -£20k in my bank with my business Partner and now one of my best friends Lee Sutton to a £50m turnover business. Together we built one of the fastest growing tech businesses in the UK. We met and built one of the best teams in our industry and I’ve made friends for life on this crazy ride from far and wide. We proved you can have success with British Manufacturing and do it profitably. I’ve travelled the world growing the business. Wrote a children’s book and had some of the best experiences of my life. myenergi opened so many doors for this lass from Grimsby. We’ve given hundreds of thousands back to the local community and created real career opportunities for people. We smashed through barriers, we laughed, we’ve cried. The highs have been extremely high the lows have been the lowest! But what a ride! What an experience. I’ve decided to take a step back from “the job”. To enjoy some well earned rest and family time. Before pursuing my next adventure :) I am still a shareholder and board member of myenergi and will be supporting the team just from a much more relaxed advisor/ambassador POV as Co-Founder. If you’d like to stay in touch with me and you’re interested in my investments and next steps in life please get in touch here 💕 Jordee.co.uk

It's hilarious when trolls, russians and people with anonymous accounts accuse clean energy people of being grifters. They should see the oil and gas grift. It cost you £100bn in the crisis and £17m in 3 hours last week. There've been fossil fuel crises since I was a kid.

Recently had a great time chatting to drivers about owning an EV with and without a driveway. The idea? scary! The reality? Pretty simple actually (and getting better every all the time) 💚 It was honestly a surprise to me (being blessed with a home charger), but the general theme was it’s just a mindset change and not much more. Popping the car on charge whilst taking the dog for a walk, grabbing some shopping or (my favourite) an excuse to play golf! The key now is abundance and affordability. Making it less of a postcode lottery, and more common for the places we already spend our time to have easy charging⚡️ (I think I’ll do a couple of months without my home charger to really live what it means. I’ll report back! 🔌🔌)

Is the boiler industry gas lighting you? Accused of “campaigns of misinformation” & “price gouging” by Ministers lobbying that could “hurt” customers @CitizensAdvice Do consumers need to think twice before trusting what the industry says? Let’s have a look at the evidence..🧵

My message to the Conservatives who oppose our clean power mission: Your party gambled with the British people's money in the fossil fuel casino, and working people paid the price. This Government will never let that happen again.

How is it possible that heat pumps can extract energy from the air even when it’s freezing cold outside? It’s because there’s energy in the air down to -273C which is absolute zero.

It is crucial that policy makers use wind (and solar) to reduce bills. If citizens can see bills falling because of wind, no one will want to tear down the turbines. If they put bills up, it’s a gift to the climate deniers and their fossil fuel friends
18 Jan 2025
The head of the proven and court-confirmed extreme far-right and Nazi AfD party Alice Weidel, who Elon Musk says is the only one that will save 🇩🇪 Germany, shouted in a party meeting aggressively: "When we are in power, we will tear down all wind turbines. Down with these windmills of shame!" Elon supports a party that is not only against all forms of renewable energies but believes that Germany should buy oil and gas from 🇷🇺 Russia again and he supports a politician who promises that if they were in power, all existing wind turbines would be torn down. What the heck has become of Elon that he supports such politicians?!

Congratulations to the Blue Origin team for reaching orbit!
16 Jan 2025
New Glenn safely reached its intended orbit during today's NG-1 mission, accomplishing our primary objective. The second stage is in its final orbit following two successful burns of the BE-3U engines. The Blue Ring Pathfinder is receiving data and performing well. We lost the booster during descent. We knew landing the first stage on the first try was ambitious. We'll learn, refine, and apply that knowledge to our next launch in the spring. We're thrilled with today's outcome. That’s a lot of battery for <2k. Imagine IF (a big IF) yOuR bAtTeRy dies in your cheap old used car. 2nd hand batteries already a thing. Super simple swap in. I’d rather do this than change a DMF.

UK vies with Germany to be European EV champion. With 31% EV sales in December we’re close to becoming the most successful EV market in Europe. This is an opportunity, not a threat. on.ft.com/3PkJNER
