So this past week, I did a 7 days creative ads challenge just to improve my design thinking beyond pretty aesthetics. I had to get more intentional about my approach to design to tell more stories and drive sales, these were my favs @Google @Spotify @PepsiGlobal @MercedesBenz

I made these designs in less than 30mins each. So let me give you a little back story for context. I applied for a design role at a media company and I was called for an interview and test. I really didn't expect to do a design on the spot but mehnn i was surprised all applicants

myself included were given 2hrs 30mins to produce 6designs, 2 social media designs, 2 billboards and 2 press ad. This has to be my fastest design. I kinda loved the experience cos it really stretched me.. But what do you think @BurgerKing @burgerkingnga @Heineken @heinekenng

One of those ideas I had in mind that I almost didn't let out. Funny how Harry Potter glasses was what inspired this actually, and after experimenting omo everything just clicked oo. I am so proud of this particular creative ads for @Google @googledevs What do you think

There is something about minimalism that just screams premium. Less really is more, and that's exactly what I wanted to convey with this design. I know @MercedesBenz to be premium and timeless, it's only best to evoke that feeling with this ad. What do you think @MercedesBenz

So last year I did a creative ad for @pepsi and while it was an impressive work, I noticed I was more aesthetics driven. So this year I decided to be alittle more creative and tell deeper stories with the design beyond just aesthetics . So which do you pick @pepsi @Pepsi_Naija

So I asked myself, what's one feeling that using @SpotifyAfrica brings, and basically it was just an escape into an entirely different world of your own just keeps you in your flow state. So I sketched and brought it to life. What do you think, My leader @TheXEffect_

Its been awhile I worked on poster, and I guess its safe to say I had a creative block recently and my designs for awhile were quite generic and expected. Omo at some point I got tired and felt stuck. But luckily yesterday I had a little spark, and decided to explore abit.

DAY 9: EYE BLINK ANIMATION I narrowly escaped not showing up today cos Nepa did what they know how to do best. But my God doesn't wear flip flop, He had a backup plan for me and here i am still showing up for this motion thing. Well i guess we go again tomorrow. See yaaa

DAY 8: BOUNCE TEXT ANIMATION So happy I finally was able to use the null object in Aftereffects today, and if you don't know what that means, well its basically an object that helps control two or more layers during animation so you don't have to repeat the same animation again

let me explain better. It basically works as a leader and the layers under it are the followers. So when I want to move layers in a particular direction together, I just parent them to the Null object and then boom, you have them under one control. Las las Aftereffects na less😄

DAY 7: MICRO UI ANIMATION So today, I was so tired..to even carry my PC felt like carrying heavy rock. Opened a 12mins tutorial and about 5mins in I was already tired. I just told myself, I am not striving for perfection, I just need to show up and build consistency. So see yaaa

DAY 6: TEXT ANIMATION Mehnn, today I had to push myself really, the workload on me was allot and I almost couldn't meet up with any tutorials. But somehow because I had made this public, I had to just show up. I no fit fall my small fans hand na😄. So yeah we go again tomorrow

DAY 5: SHAPE MORPH ANIMATION Today was crazy, have you tried to follow an Indian Tutor on YouTube before, they no dey calm down talk make you hear😄. Mehnn I watched the tutorial almost 20 times &still didn't get it perfectly. Trust me Its way better in my head than what you see

DAY 4: PENDULUM ANIMATION This has to be the first animation in Aftereffects i got smoothly without much drawback after following the tutorial. When I finished I was like whattt, so I can do this motion graphics thing, if I just give it more time. Well we move !!!!! See yaaaa
