Rewatched The Queen's Gambit, and wondered how close I could get to that lush cinematography. Thanks to @nr2097 for pulling focus for me!

ALT On a large replica Viennese coffeehouse set, I slide an acorn-hatted bishop into place while Nina pulls focus, keeping the bishop sharp while the other pieces get fuzzier or less fuzzy as they happen to be the same distance from the lens as the travelling bishop. The move's from the Immortal Game, played by Adolf Anderssen and Lionel Kieseritzky in London on 1851-06-21.

I posted an article about this, but ways "gifted" ADHD pass as high functioning is by using adrenaline to kick in gear. That means developing OCD like behaviors centered around anger, self hate & panic (aka anxiety). You learn acceptance and praise comes from a hell you create.
Replying to @blkgirllostkeys
Beyond the torment ofADHD symptoms, add the additional criticisms of "we KNOW you're smart" "you're WAY too intelligent for this" and "why aren't you working up to your full potential?" Then turn those internal and they are your internal diaglouge forever. So there's your gift.

Fun fact: heterosexuality was first diagnosed in 1868 by Karl Maria Kertbeny, but I'm pretty sure straight people existed before then.

It was really more described than diagnosed, but still. Bonus fact: to go straight means to go on the straight and narrow (obey the law). Back when being gay was illegal, going straight meant to not indulge in openly being yourself. It didn't mean you were heterosexual.
