The winners of BEE have been politically connected figures and ANC party insiders. Cyril Ramaphosa, Tokyo Sexwale, Saki Macozoma, and Bridgette Radebe are some of the cadres who should be bragging about these laws because they have become multimillionaires using them. Their immense wealth stands in sharp contrast to the reality of ordinary South Africans, who continue to face the fallout of state capture, systemic corruption, failing public services, and significant underfunding in healthcare and education. Racial quotas and these fraudulent laws are deeply flawed. They only benefit government officials and act as a systemic looting machine that offers no benefit to ordinary citizens.

India: Authorities extradited Venkatesh alias "Kala" Garg from Georgia, where he had been arrested in Tbilisi following an Interpol Red Notice requested by India. Garg, a close associate of Kapil Sangwan and linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi network, is wanted in multiple cases involving murder, extortion, organized crime, and illegal weapons offenses. Investigators allege that while abroad he continued to operate extortion rackets and recruit contract killers across several Indian states. Garg fled India after being implicated in the 2025 killing of BSP Haryana leader Harbilas Singh Rajjumajra. His extradition was carried out by a special Indian police escort team following his detention by Georgian authorities. .

Germany: Authorities conducted simultaneous searches at 27 locations in Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, and the Netherlands targeting an international criminal organization accused of smuggling cocaine from South America by air freight and container ships between June 2024 and January 2026. The organization used front companies in Braunschweig, Isernhagen, Karben, and Dreieich, employing straw men as managing directors to conceal illicit shipments within legal imports. During this operation, three suspects, a 53-year-old Turkish citizen and two Dutch nationals aged 56 and 59, were arrested in Germany and the Netherlands; two others, a 57-year-old German-Turkish citizen and a 26-year-old Bulgarian, were already in pretrial detention. Investigators attribute four cocaine shipments totaling approximately 2.5 tons seized in Luxembourg, Colombia, and Hamburg from February 2025 to January 2026 to the group.

Italy: In a large-scale operation against the Carcagnusi-Mazzei clan, 20 people were arrested for mafia association, drug trafficking, possession of war weapons, and attempted murder. The investigation, launched in December 2023 and targeting this Cosa Nostra affiliate, revealed a structured cocaine trafficking network supplying both the clan and other criminal groups, with family members of the Mazzei leadership deeply involved. Drug dealing shifted from street sales to fortified apartments equipped with barricades and surveillance. Key seizures included, from a garage in Picanello, 11.1 kg of hashish, 190 g of cocaine, 48.2 kg of marijuana, and a range of weapons (several Kalashnikov rifles, handguns, submachine guns, and silencers), plus packaging equipment.

India: Enforcement Directorate [ED] conducted raids at 20 locations across Mumbai, Surat, Ankleshwar, and Rajkot targeting a transnational narcotics syndicate run by Salim Ismail Dola (pic center), an associate of Dawood Ibrahim. The operation focused on suppliers of precursor chemicals, intermediaries in chemical trading, traffickers involved in distributing and manufacturing synthetic narcotic mephedrone (MD), hawala operators, and individuals linked to benami properties obtained through criminal proceeds. The investigation revealed a well-organized criminal network responsible for procurement of precursor chemicals, clandestine manufacture of mephedrone, interstate and international distribution of narcotics, and laundering proceeds via hawala channels. Dola was extradited from Türkiye in April after a Red Notice and is in custody on multiple charges related to narcotics trafficking.

Spain: Authorities dismantled a criminal organization trafficking hashish from Melilla to mainland Spain using cars with hidden compartments. Four specially modified vehicles, mobile phones, documentation, and a frequency jammer were seized during seven property raids that led to the arrest of 14 Spanish nationals with prior police records. In a linked operation in October 2025, 3.0 tons of hashish were intercepted concealed among pressed cardboard in Granada, tied to this same group. The group sourced hashish from Morocco, stored it in apartments used as safehouses, and distributed it across Spain and Europe.
