Inversion of Control (IoC) A broader architectural concept. Instead of your code controlling dependencies, the framework or container controls them. Dependency Injection (DI) A technique to implement IoC. Dependencies are provided (injected) from outside rather than created inside the class. In short: DIP = principle IoC = concept DI = implementation technique
