@edinhelp The cycle signal on the Northbound cycleway at the FotW showing a Green light for cyclists to proceed staright across the junction at the same time as vehicles are truning left. Please either get it switched off or more permanently covered up. A highly dangerous issue!

Also good to see progress on Picardy Island. Still a few cycling concerns to be resolved. @SpokesLothian

Great to see that @Edinburgh_CC expressed the pedestrian crossing from Picardy Place tram stop to the mainland (Cathedral area). The absence Gad been putting many people at serious risk. (The car was stopped - had been in a q) @CllrScottArthur

I'm sad to see my colleague @DrCarolineBrown leaving @HeriotWattUni, but she will be a great asset to @RTPIPlanners Her appointment is a reminder that planners have a huge role as we respond to the climate and biodiversity crises. rtpi.org.uk/news/2023/august…

So much fun with the ⁦@InfraSisters⁩ tonight -lovely atmosphere as we rode through Edinburgh in the safety, comfort and camaraderie of a large group of happy folk on bikes. Thanks to everyone who came and to the drivers/pedestrians who waved in support. #OurStreetsOurNights

Meadows paths all dry and well-gritted this frosty morning - thank you @edinhelp @CllrScottArthur. EXCEPT the continuing water leak on MMW (location indicated on map below) which is frozen solid and slippery! So watch out if you’re headed downhill (south).

I love it and I hate it. Still too many helmets and high viz. Why does this nation feel the need to dress up like a tank resembling a light tower, is beyond me! I make a point of it doing the exact opposite!
Great to meet so many passionate female cyclists today. 1000 took part in a protest ride to call for better cycling infrastructure. Less than a third of London's cyclists are women - in Amsterdam its more than half. Fear, they say, is a factor. @London_Cycling

Edinburgh has been discussing traffic demand management for at least a quarter of a century. It's long overdue for @Edinburgh_CC to actually take some action.
Tune into Transport and Environment Committee live from 10am, when Workplace Parking Levy, electric vehicle chargers and tariffs and accessibility across the city will be up for discussion 👀 edinburgh.public-i.tv/core/p…

🧵Several weeks after Edinburgh Council were notified of the danger posed by drivers making an illegal turn through pedestrians crossing during a "green man" phase at the London Road/Leith Walk junction, the council installed a camera to monitor the junction.

Our neighbour needed a lift to school. Can’t actually fit 3 car seats in the back of our wee car so no choice but to use the #cargobike. Can’t believe people suggest families can cope with only a car! @cargobikemovmnt @SpokesLothian @CarryShitOlympx @riesemuller

I hope the @TramstoNewhaven clean-up process involves removing all these bolts that were used to hold flimsy wands about a year ago and since then have just been trip hazards on the pavement.

Scott Arthur’s first big challenge - make this work (without blaming previous administration!). Let’s see tickets issued, fines paid, and a way for residents to report offenders - especially repeat offenders and where it endangers other users - corners, kerbs, access.
We’re introducing new measures to tackle footway parking in Edinburgh. From today, we can issue instant parking tickets to vehicles incorrectly parking on footways. Find out more at: democracy.edinburgh.gov.uk/d…
