This solution is not scaleable, plus it continues the prioritization of private cars over the needs of other users of the the shared public space that is our streets. We need more equitable solutions than allowing cars to take over pavements for EV charging.
We hear fairly often that you can’t get an EV if you don’t have off street parking for home charging.
Saw this great example today of what I think is a @Gul_e_EV on a terraced street in Durham this morning.

Leith Walk's finest work: one lorry drives off the pavement to reveal another. "Ah but it's okay the traffic wardens said I could." Who honestly believes that stuff (or that traffic wardens have that power)?
My favourite moment of creating humans is holding up my baby at about 6 months, right before they start any solids, knowing that I've built the cells of their body from my own. Through pregnancy and then breastfeeding. It's an incredible moment to ponder how incredible life is.
❤️🖼🏴 The Oor Wullie mural on the Hilltown has become a favourite among locals! I love it! Such brilliant artwork with a powerful message! It was created as part of the Dundee Graffiti Jam by Gazmac Sapien.

Riky M has illegal number plates, honks his horn aggressively at other drivers for no good reason, and parks illegally on pedestrianised areas with double yellows. @YPLAC @yplac_ed

Buying books from the British Library feels like docking with the mothership. The prices are great, it gets here fast, and their horror series is amazing.
Tell me Edinburgh doesn’t protect active travellers with bollards without telling me Edinburgh doesn’t protect active travellers with bollards. Problem on L.Walk evident for years. Will @Edinburgh_CC and its leaders act? @LivingStreetsEd @CllrScottArthur @coxandcoxuk @yplac_ed
My 17 year old off to TRNSMT on the w/e. I ask for a rundown of programme and he talks excitedly about @DeclanMcKenna@gerrycinamon before saying "then I have to sit through some band that are *literally* called Garbage ..."
There's the multigenerational gulf right there! 😆
