Nikola Tesla was ABSOLUTELY taught in public schools. Tesla Coil demonstrations are an extremely common science lesson for grade school, and one of my personal favorite lessons I personally got when I was a kid in a public school.

The Kansas State Capitol building in Topeka was said to have been built in phases. The dome portion began in 1889, but it appears complete in a birdseye view map from 1869 (last pic). I realize it's a drawing, but something stinks!
