I am very glad to see this come to light, and at this scale. This is yet another pattern of behavior from MS that's disappointing yet somehow not surprising. Suggests the internal rot runs deep given what we've seen outside a security context, too.

I am absolutely reveling in all of these personal experiences being shared by researchers who have been wronged by @Microsoft and @msftsecresponse over the years. I say step up the research heat, less disclosure, more blogs, and POC's until they can produce a product that isn't vulnerable by default. Who's really culpable for the billions lost each year due to negligently vulnerable software releases? Here's a mirror for you Microsoft ๐ช
