One practical and proven way to boost productivity and efficiency is by using microbiological fertilisers. These products work with the soil biology to unlock nutrients. Crops access nutrients more effectively, reducing the need for high chemical fertilizer rates @MoLAFWRD_Zim

Useful nuggets there.
How to reduce crop water requirements during dry spell induced drought stress. 🌱 1/4 ⛔Avoid the application of nitrate based fertilizers! 🤔WHY? ⬆️Absorption of nitrate greatly increases water requirements for nitrate metabolism and hydration. #WUE

Let’s not go there Zimbabwe @hdczim @MoLAFWRD_Zim
Florida's citrus industry has collapsed from 244 million boxes of oranges in 1997-98 to just 12 million projected for 2024-25—a devastating 95% decline driven by citrus greening disease. This catastrophe resulted from decades of industrial farming that abandoned soil-building practices for chemical-intensive methods, creating weakened trees vulnerable to disease. As Brazil's citrus industry now follows the same path with 44% of trees already infected, Florida's empty groves serve as both a warning about industrial agriculture's risks and proof that regenerative farming can still restore even severely degraded systems.

His Excellency the President, Dr ED Mnangagwa, made a fundamental observation at PreCabe during a tour of his farm by Central Committee members. He stressed that farmers should focus on how many tonnes of cereal they produce per hectare under a crop!! Focus on PRODUCTIVITY, in other words. A few weeks ago, I made the same point in a thread relating to national maize output. We expect 2,4/5 million tonnes on 1,8m hectares we put under grain. If you do your figures, you realize we are doing barely 1,3 tonnes per hectare. In the Region, the average output per hectare is upwards of 4 to 6 tonnes per hectare!!!

Thank you. We do not have a known formula but products by @1Humuson have been helpful. Our area is rarely hit by frost though neighbouring Farmers have been hit by frost for the past two years.

I know there is more to the story but nevertheless that’s why we re bringing products to grow healthier crops that are less susceptible to pest and diseases, requiring less chemicals. Yet, the farmers are hesitant. Learning the hard way is the best teacher
80% of fresh produce deliveries to the airport in the last 3-4 days rejected by plant inspectors cost the industry millions of dollars, credibility and trust Frustrating

Keep preaching. Avoid nitrate overload and focus on micronutrients
One of the big mistakes that farmers make is never to taste nutrients in their crops like tomatoes and they just follow some random PDF program and pump nitrates into their tomatoes. Hie Nitrates reduce shelf life of the fruit. Don’t always load Ammonium Nitrate in crops like tomatoes and peppers, you will have a lot of returns from shops. One of my tomatoes is now on 73 days sitting on the counter and it’s still intact. Because we managed our nitrates
