Happy with….. A huge congratulations to our incredible women’s Nordic Ski team for an outstanding performance at the RLC Nordic Championship! Not only have they been crowned overall champions, but they also claimed victory in the fiercely competitive Patrol Race. 💪🍾🥂 ⛷️

Recently, Movement Controllers from 29 Regiment RLC deployed to Germany for Exercise CENTURION EXPRESS. During the exercise, personnel undertook Rail Loading Supervisor training, enhancing their operational effectiveness!

On Monday, 28 October, WO2 Haughton, along with Cpl Appiah and LCpl Turkson, attended a Black History Month (BHM) event hosted by the London Metropolitan Police, where they were invited to share their personal experiences serving in public service.

Recently, soldiers from 80 P&C Sqn deployed with attachments from 16th US Sustainment Brigade on CENTURION SWIFT to conduct trade training in the field, preparing for the realities of operations.

On Friday AAPTI Course 79 received their Cross Swords after successful completion of the 8-week AAPTI course. Congratulations to all those who were successful with a special mention to our very own Ptes Coverdale and Hooley.

The annual PC Convention was held at 29 Regt on 20 Jun, attended by PC Operators from across the globe. There was trade related briefs and updates from various departments including the Trade Proponent Col Windsor, Then culminated in the Postie cup, the annual football match.

On the 14th Jun 29RLC hosted the Movement Controller Association’s AGM, followed by a generations night where serving and retired Mov Cons swapped stories. Pte Hughes was also awarded a conductors coin by AVM (Retd) Hill for his recent hard work.

Cpl Wilson from 80 Squadron and the PCS Head of Trade, WO1 Squire-Dean, recently competed in a 48-hour pairs Corps qualifier in Oxford. They secured the victory by catching 6 fish with a combined weight of 189 lbs. The ICCC (Inter Corps Carp Championship) now awaits in September.

Over the past two weeks, personnel from across the Regiment deployed on Ex Centurion Endeavour 24, an adventurous training (AT) package organized by 55 HQ Squadron and located at Low Gillerthwaite (RLC Lodge). A fantastic experience enjoyed by everyone - thanks to 55 HQ Sqn!

The HQ South West Festival of Sport 2024 Inter Unit Badminton competition was held at Tidworth/Bulford & Larkhill Garrisons on 15 May 24. Through skill & determination, 29 RLC were victorious! A superb effort by all – well done Team Centurion!!

On the 14th of May A Tp from EG(W) offloaded Military Vessel HARTLAND POINT, supporting 12 ABCT’s deployment on EX COMBINE RESOLVE in Emden Port, Germany. The PTG saw the movement of 140 vehs and equip into the CMA and prepared them for despatch. #WeAreNATO #StrongerTogether

Last week elements of EG(W) travelled to the port or Aarhus, Denmark to observe the American 16th Sustainment Brigade in action. Providing our SMEs with a valuable insight into how our US counterparts conduct Port Ops.

In preparation for the Danish public holiday, Ascension day, soldiers from EG (W) were invited to an afternoon of sports, including Tug of War and  Volleyball, followed by a BBQ. A fantastic event enjoyed by all, and a great chance to get to know our Danish counterparts.

On Sunday 5 May, members of Enabling Group West took part in the Copenhagen Marathon. The team, comprising of members from 29 Regiment RLC and 16 Signals Regiment, completed the 26-mile whilst raising funds for the Army Benevolent Fund & Gurkha Welfare Trust…..superb effort all.
