A thread of 2A citations. Most are 18th/19th century cites showing 2A to be an individual Right, but some are 20th century and some show the militia to be comprised of all citizens and some are oddballs. Starting with: the militia isn't just American.. x.com/2aHistory/status/16381…

Another history tidbit on English militia practices of late 18th century & earlier. 1) Not just a "colonist" thing that militias existed. 2) Wasn't necessary for militia members to actively muster & train. 3) It was common to keep arms in homes. Militias of London - 1782

Anti-gun groups are so desperate that they consider a case NOT heard as a win! Don't care who you are, that's funny right there.. 😅😂
In a major win for public safety, the Supreme Court refused to take up the gun industry’s challenge to a New York law that allows gunmakers to be held accountable when they violate the law. These bad actors must be held accountable for the harm they cause. nbcnews.com/politics/supreme…

"Trump stopped funding screwworm mitigation in 2025 and that caused them to be in the US!!!" These people really are not bright. 5 seconds is all it takes.. Who was president in 2023? It was already in northern Mexico by the time Trump took office. nbcnews.com/science/environm…

Yes, it was DOGE cuts in 2025 that allowed the screwworm to spread from Panama to Mexico from 2022 to 2024 under Joe Biden. DOGE and their damned TARDIS... amiright?
I'm shocked they haven't deleted this tweet confirming that DOGE cut the funding for the screwworm eradication program. Have the plague you voted for!

Fun fact: Benedict Arnold was a decorated American Army vet also. AND.. he was a gun owner. Just thought you'd want to know, Dan.
As a gun owner and Army veteran, I know military-style weapons don't belong in our communities. That's why I spent the last seven years fighting to pass Virginia's Assault Weapons Ban. This law will save lives and make our families and communities safer.

California claims its voting is super secure, but when it comes to buying a gun they be like "no you can't use voter registration to prove residency, are you crazy? We don't actually check that shit!"

Did somebody from the UK say something about gun control? Bwaa haa haa.... you lost that argument 250 years ago!! You can't even FLOAT A WARSHIP OR SUBMARINE!!! You're our aged parent living in a broken down house and empty bank accounts that we take care of.
My point on gun control in 2019 was that school shootings need better management. Using dogs to go after shooters wastes lives when we have armed drones, no loss of canine life needed. I fully support gun control in terms of owner responsibility to keep guns safe. This is standard firearms practice.

These are the same people that throw a hissy if they see a Confederate flag like the one that the Clinton's flew in Arkansas.
If you're unironically calling Graham Platner a Nazi, you're not a serious person. He's a doofus who got drunk with his military unit overseas, they all got a tattoo, he later learned it was an obscure Nazi symbol and he stupidly kept it anyway because he thought it looked cool.

Couldn't the same thing be accomplished by simply upping the sentencing guidelines for these criminals? Not a lawyer.. but needing "Lawz me harder, guv'nor!" rather than just punishing them harder under existing laws seems silly.
I joined @LindseyGrahamSC to introduce legislation that would increase federal penalties for criminals who target licensed firearms dealers. The frequency of firearm theft has risen dramatically in recent years. Tougher criminal penalties are needed to reduce the public safety risk. dailyfly.com/2026/06/09/crap…

The vast majority of felonies at the time of the Founding were state/local, and were non-violent crimes. Property crimes, etc. Punishments were often harsh.. But none of the states banned felons from ever owning arms after serving their sentence. Let no free man be disarmed.
BREAKING #2A News: SCOTUS denied cert. and refuses to disturb previous ruling of the 5th Cir. in US v. Cockerham where the Court unanimously overturned a felon-in-possession conviction for man whose only prior was a Mississippi child support debt felony (debt fully paid, no violence). 5th cir. ruled that a lifetime gun ban violated 2A as applied — no historical tradition supports permanent disarmament for non-violent debtors once obligation satisfied.

Now, I'd thijnk that while somebody was on supervised release (probation) after serving their sentence, that a ban on firearms would be Constitutional. They are still serving their sentence.. For violent crimes. Not for non-violent. But a lifetime blanket ban for all felons?

Coincidentally (*cough* *cough*), Houston hasn't had a Republican mayor in 44 years. Isn't that surprising?
In LE circles tactical teams frequently like to boast about who sees more action than the big 2 of LA/NYC, but today I learned that Houston is so fucked up there are 4 full time SWAT teams working that city of 2.4 million lmao. Never been!
