It’s utterly heartwarming that the characters from Sesame Street are still here actively trying to help us, THE SAME KIDS, after all these years like that level of kindness and loyalty is absolutely unprecedented

Trump's plan to dismantle the U.S. indoctrination system (college) by seizing funds from schools that refuse to comply with his accreditation system. 1. "Our secret weapon will be the college accreditation system." 2. "Fire the radical left accreditors that have allowed our colleges to become dominated by Marxist maniacs and lunatics." 3. "We will then accept applications for new accreditors who will impose real standards on colleges once again." "These standards will include defending the American tradition and Western civilization, protecting free speech, and eliminating wasteful administrative positions that drive up costs." 4. "Remove all Marxist diversity, equity, and inclusion bureaucrats, offering options for accelerated at low-cost degrees, providing meaningful job placement and career services, and implementing college entrance and exit exams to prove that students are actually learning and getting their money's worth." 5. "Direct the Department of Justice to pursue federal civil rights cases against schools that continue to engage in racial discrimination." 6. "Schools that persist in explicit unlawful discrimination under the guise of equity will not only have their endowments taxed, but through budget reconciliation, I will advance a measure to have them fined up to the entire amount of their endowment." 7. "The seized funds will then be used as restitution for victims of these illegal and unjust policies."

📊 A zero should never be a proxy for missing work/data. It's not only harmful to kids, but it's also poor math/measurement. Missing isn't evidence of no learning. It's just no evidence. #LeadInclusion #EdLeaders #Teachers #UDL #SBLchat #TG2Chat

Since the department of education is going away, how do kids that require federal student aid pay for college? Pell grants are gone. Head start is gone. Special Ed funding is gone. I’m just curious about the Plan B for everyone.

What happens with IDEA money from the federal department of education if that department is closed? There are seems to be a tension in this message between parents’ rights and state-led education: which is it? There are a lot of questions here with huge implications.

“I don’t really like the way you teach.” I’ve come to expect and accept this. On some level, I actually embrace it. I work very hard to create an experience where kids own their learning, and it is music to my ears when they speak their truths about their learning, which must also include my teaching. My approach is by design far different from the way they’ve experienced school for the last 12 years (I have seniors), and for some it is too different. I get that. I accept that. I embrace that… …as an opportunity to share the responsibility of finding a better match between their learning and my teaching. If I am asking them to own their learning, then I must own my teaching, which is where we discover our work, our shared responsibility. We can do better. #Project180

The people in my autism parenting groups who are just figuring out what gutting the Department of Education is going to do to their kids, after they voted for Trump. Whew, chile. It’s a whole lotta, “They can’t do that, right?” Nah, bro. They can and they’re gonna.
