14 June 1381. Richard II met leaders of Wat Tyler’s Peasants’ Revolt at Mile End, London to hear their greivances. At this meeting, Richard II appeared to give into all of the peasants demands and asked them to go home in peace. In reality he intended to suppress the revolt.
