Trump the brave military leader
Trump received five legal draft deferments for Vietnam: four while attending college (Fordham then Wharton, graduating 1968), and a fifth medical one that year for bone spurs in both heels. His 1969 lottery number was 356. He never served. Deferments like these were standard and common for students/wealthy families at the time. The podiatrist who signed off (office rented from Fred Trump) later told family it was a favor; Trump has always said the condition was real.
