It had something special going in the late 50s and 60s.
Say something nice about Chicago.

Another Berkeley professor told the author: “In my second-year engineering class, a student asked me to explain why 1/2 1/3 = 5/6…. The lecture had to stop while I explained fractions.”
Berkeley math professor: “Today, the more successful a public high school is at preparing its students, the lower its graduates' chances of getting into top UC campuses like Berkeley and San Diego.” Berkeley admitted 45% of applicants from a high school where nearly 94% of “students failed to meet the state standards in mathematics.” It admitted less than 14% of applicants from a school where “nearly 100 percent of its students in AP Calculus BC pass the national exam with a perfect score of 5.”

If you asked me to design the most effective way to destroy higher education in the US, I couldn't come up with something better than this. And it's been going on for decades.

The Cars movies, especially 3, raise a lot of challenging "Car Bio Diversity" (CBD) questions, but then resolve them in the most anodyne, conventional, and sanitized way possible. I will report back once we watch Planes too.

So apparently, I'm told by HR, it's not "appropriate" to play Fuck-Marry-Kill with the grad students whenever a paper you're teaching has 3 coauthors. Not even Smash or Pass. 🤷‍♂️ Sorry, I thought this was a free country

I don’t understand why we have to have jobs and paychecks and everything when we could just trust Elizabeth Warren to give us what we need.

But we're not in an Ian Fleming novel. We're in an Ayn Rand novel.

The most consequential men of our age are Musk, Trump, and Ye. Any analysis inconsistent with this fact is bound to miss the mark. 😏

To the untrained layman's eye, it might seem that I'm "losing money" 🙄 In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. I am "hedging" and "loss harvesting." You wouldn't get it 😏

The degree to which leftists keep coming out with increasingly laughable & cringy stuff goes to show how desperate and demoralized they are. Climate is no selling, inequality is not selling, "data centers" is not selling. They lost Gen Z. BRICS & co in shambles. LatAm turning.

Anthropic secretly steers their models to change how you think and what you can think. Don't believe them when they say they will "roll things back". Watch their actions. They are resentful that they've been noticed They want to control you
