ALERT: FBI, Secret Service nd multiple state law enforcement agencies disrupted an alleged drone attack on the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House lawn.
According to officials, explosive-laden drones were expected to hit buildings near the event, force a mass evacuation, and steer crowds toward a pre-staged sniper team.
A “second wave” was allegedly planning to storm the gates of the White House.
Tycen Proper, 19, was arrested in Cincinnati for his involvement in the foiled attack, and had used his “graduation money” to purchase $3,000 of ammunition, guns, and other weapons for the attack.
2 brothers, Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas, were arrested in California, as well as Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Daniel K. Eskridge, of Kansas City, Missouri.
Eskridge’s wife said he described himself as a recruiter for the plot and had acquired tactical gear and even built a gun range on their property in preparation for the attack.
Secret Service Director Sean Curran said, "In the days leading up to this weekend, our special agents, mission support personnel, and technical security teams worked around the clock to identify those responsible and hold them accountable."
