A decade ago it was a question if Embiid would ever play a game in the NBA. He's played thru countless injuries both because he's prone to them and because he's terrible unlucky. Despite his body breaking down since college he's become a hall of famer and one of the best scorers ever.
Ultimately he won't win a title and will be labeled a failure by the internet. His career has been frustrating but also a huge joy to watch as a Sixers fan. He's our guy. He's the process. We sat thru 10 and he's the only good thing to come of it.
The bigger question is why WOULDN'T we ride for Joel Embiid?
I really donβt understand why Sixers fans ride so hard for Embiid still.
I really donβt get it. Theyβre a typically ruthless fan base and it just blows my mind they havenβt turned on him at all, but instead double and triple down on him despite the lack of team success with him.
