On 20.4.2022 I had the honour of speaking to PM @ImranKhanPTI. My kids were so happy that I got to speak to the Skipper. They also said, “Mum, you made him smile”. In the video you’ll hear why I follow and will always follow Khan Sb. #BehindYouSkipper

Something similar happened to my dad once. He was in a restaurant and a little boy came and sat at his table and they started talking. When the boy’s parents were ready to leave, they called their son. He responded, “I don’t want to go with you; I want to go with him” pointing at my dad. My dad had a lovely way with children. He had a lovely way with everyone. He could charm birds out of trees. Miss you, Daddy.
This little baby met a man at a restaurant for the first time and she never wants to go back to her mum again. Babies are crooks 😂

There is a lot of excitement at the moment about using AI to personalise learning resources, but I am not convinced. Yes, it is true many students are interested in Taylor Swift & Lionel Messi more than electricity, algebra or verbs. That does not mean we can teach electricity, algebra and verbs through the medium of Swift & Messi. substack.nomoremarking.com/p…

School complaints are bordering out of control. AI has a lot to answer for. Many complaints shouldn’t be complaints, more so where it’s about policy. Serious mistakes should of course be heard and addressed
Almost a quarter of school and trust leaders say rising parent complaints have contributed to staff leaving in the past year, a new survey finds tes.com/magazine/news/genera…

The evidence is not "finally" on the side of knowledge-rich curriculum. The evidence has *always* been on its side. My latest looks at why it's still so hard to get states, districts, and schools to adopt and implement it well. thenext30years.substack.com/…

Reading about the principal-agent and stewardship theories of governance in @EmmaKn24’s book #ThePowerOfGovernance I am reminded of discussions Prof Chris James used to have on governance theories. He would have enjoyed reading Emma’s book

“Corporate governance, which some assume refers to the for-profit sector” @EmmaKn24 When I’m talking to people who are new to school governance I do use this term to emphasise that it’s about the whole group rather than the individual. Reading the above in Emma’s book #ThePowerOfGovernance (Pg 5) I realise that when I use this term I should make it clear that school governance isn’t part of the for-profit sector.

This is the Muslim and Sufi way. To be humble, portray failure and apprehension of meeting one’s maker. Aurangzeb was a resounding success. Incompetence after him was the problem. Something he was prescient enough to see.

Some commentators have looked at the title of a post and started making personal comments about the poster. They haven’t bothered to read the post or comment on the issues discussed by the author. So predictable and so boring.
