Donald Trump's attempt to turn the Kennedy Center into a MAGA trophy just suffered another embarrassing setback.
The Washington National Opera has filed a lawsuit demanding the return of more than $17 million, adding yet another chapter to what has become one of the most chaotic and self-inflicted culture-war disasters of Trump's presidency.
According to the filing, money that was donated for opera performances, artists, and educational programs is now at the center of a major legal fight after Trump's takeover sent the institution into turmoil.

Oh. So. It's not just algae that's a problem. The Reflecting Pool is now leaking worse than it ever has (which was the reason Trump used to justify this entire project....the leaks) AND it appears the state of the art filter Obama had installed was not re-installed, hence, the algae in just 2 days instead of weeks/months with the filter. Because Obama is black.

🚨 BREAKING: Internal Interior Department and National Park Service documents reportedly show bubbles, pinholes, and uneven blue coating emerging during Trump's rushed Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool renovation.
The stated purpose of the project was to stop leaks.
But officials reportedly documented defects in the waterproofing layer itself:

• Uneven, mottled blue coating

I want to give you guys some facts about General Chappie James. He wasn’t a “DEI” hire—he was a complete badass that had to overcome MORE than any white pilot. Did 178 combat missions—that’s like 7 bomber tours on a B-17 in WWII.
His medal count? Impeccable. 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses, 14 Air Medals, Two Legions of Merit, and a Defense Distinguished Service Medal. One of the original Tuskegee Airmen, the first four-star African American General.
Hegseth couldn’t sniff the level of soldiering and warrior that was in Chappie’s DNA. God bless him. And Hegseth took down his picture from a hallway like a racist little child, which is what he is.

I knew the scaffolding made no sense. They could have used two cherry pickers and called it a day.
We waited all day and night because the scaffolding wasn’t there to do the work. It was there to hide the letters from view while they were being removed.

The irony of the Trump administration claiming to be the most transparent in history is never lost on me. Kennedy Center Workers used a tarp so cameras couldn’t see the removal.
It’s like playing hide-and-seek with a toddler: if they can’t see you, they think you can’t see them.

Hegseth removed Chappie James's portrait from the Air Force Art Gallery and left the wall empty.
James flew 179 combat missions across two wars. First Black four-star general in US military history.
Curry passed that portrait every day for a decade. When it came down, he retired.
The wall is still empty.
