Idk what you lot are in about because the kids I knew that got sent back to Africa as a kid came back much worse. Itโs not because of the country btw, itโs because of the breakdown of relationship between them and their parents, further exacerbated by their parents tricking them

the only things my siblings came back with was fluency in language, trauma from back home and resentment towards my parents for making them do that

At uni I batched cooked a chicken curry (with rice) to last me 5 days. I then ate it all along with 3 tins of fruit salad in a single sitting.
Only to then have mates round an hour so later to play FIFA where we ordered a large dominoโs pizza each. Had a stitch for days.

Unpopular opinion but I think that โAfricanโ diets are the healthiest out there. Unprocessed food, protein and lots of dark greens in certain dishes, we just need to regulate the amount of oil/processed fats/carbs within each meal and portion sizes.

If we actually ate things with moderation, it wouldnโt be much of a problem. The overload of carbs like rice and lack of vegetables is also linked to poverty and food satiety, seasonal produce etc
