I was elected to become a member at @ChambersTrinity last night! I could not be happier that I can continue to have the best job in the world for the foreseeable future. ✨
Thank you doesn’t come close to @MaltonTom, not only for being such a fantastic supervisor but for my very own wig tin, which I will have by my side throughout my career.
In the Court of Appeal today with @jamesmarkmchugh who is representing the Respondent in Steer v Stormsure, @MilsomChr representing the Claimant and Mathew Purchase QC intervening for the Secretary of State. An interesting two days ahead. #ukemplaw
Big Friday shoutout to my immensely talented pupil @ABCheetham_ who is blazing a trail in her 2nd 6.
And sending me selfies from the pub with lovely folk @ChambersTrinity
Not jealous at all. No. Not me
Today is the last day of my first six, which has been a pleasure thanks to two amazing supervisors and support from all members at @ChambersTrinity. I am looking forward to starting my second six from Tuesday!
Judgment has been handed down by Cavanagh J in Steer v Stormsure today. Grateful for the opportunity to have observed my excellent Pupil Master acting for the Respondent.
Having a virtual drink to celebrate my first two weeks of (thankfully not just virtual) pupillage. Feeling grateful to have been welcomed by such a lovely chambers.
I am now a very proud owner of my own wig and gown, a huge thank you to my amazing colleagues for the vouchers to contribute. Yesterday was a day I won’t forget! @EdeRavenscroft
En route to clear my desk ahead of my last day at @StewartsLawLLP next week. I could never have foreseen after accepting pupillage in February I would have only 4 weeks left working in the office!
The criminal justice system laid bare.
Tonight we have the first of our exclusive films made by the #SecretBarrister, the anonymous author who paints a picture of a system on its knees.
I don’t think people understand the crisis that’s happening in the justice system. A fairly simple case I’m working on has been listed for a 3 day hearing in the Employment Tribunal in January 2022. Not a typo. It relates to facts that occurred in 2018. #ukemplaw
