So, @MarsdanVM , I had two heat-treated longsword blanks lying around, one in 6mm, one in 8mm. Some trimming and profiling later, I'm done with the blade of the blunt and started work on the sharp. Also, did you notice before what Paulus Kal shows along a buckler, or how Fiore uses ~ the same sword for longsword and single-hand sword in multiple images?

Proceeding nicely with this pack. I finished the blades of 3 bypieces, did 2 more, filed a lot of brass, and progressed with the Katzbalger-Messer hybrid a bit.

I finally allocated some time to progress with this one. I'm kinda happy with how the "bell" finial turned out. The drawing I also uploaded is from the late 16th century, this project takes more or less inspiration from multiple daggers depicted there.

Extra-short blunt Messer commission done. The grip is filed back about 1mm all around as the buyer wants to wrap it in cord. It ended up surprisingly flexible - at this length and width, having a flexible blade that still has enough thickness inside the fullers to avoid tearthrough depends on a couple hundredths of a millimeter. FUN.

In case anyone's interested (or just baffled), the reason for the recent increase of Ironlily reposts and photoshoot content on my page is multifold - I barely had any time to proceed with custom work this past two weeks; what progress I did have was important but barely visible; I held a presentation at the Berlin Messer Weekend so I had to both prepare and travel; I don't really like reposting older stuff. Ideally, I want to aim for a 50-50 mix of content, it just doesn't tend to work out - this time, the pendulum swinged towards more ladies on my timeline.
