As @realDonaldTrump prepares to give tonight's State of the Union address, a growing body of work underscores the sustained focus he, alongside @HouseGOP & @SenateGOP, has had on prioritizing reliable, affordable American energy. This focus has resulted in 300 actions taken, thus far, to unleash America’s energy potential.

"Energy is everything: national security, economic stability, prosperity and quality of life for Americans. We are blessed with abundant, reliable domestic energy that can help usher in peace and prosperity for our nation, and we need an agile permitting system which safeguards our water, air, land, and wildlife while facilitating the processes necessary for progress." -@DanielTurnerPTF & @RealEJAntoni via @Heritage heritage.org/energy/commenta…

"The city of Los Angeles should take this time to develop real solutions to end its revolving-door-like criminal justice system, rather than converting 60,000 streetlights to solar power, which doesn’t solve the underlying problem of rampant crime." @IERenergy's Caleb Jasso via @californiapost nypost.com/2026/06/11/opinio…

"Only the most dependable power plants — nuclear, natural gas, and coal — are capable of supporting the baseload. They can also meet demand levels above the baseload, as can dispatchable power units (especially natural gas and hydropower) supplemented by electricity from renewable sources. Solar and wind power cannot be relied upon to meet the baseload, however." - Jon Sanders of @JohnLockeNC. carolinajournal.com/opinion/…

"We commend President Trump’s decision to issue an additional 90-day suspension of the century-old Jones Act, and we ask Congress to make the suspension permanent by repealing this outdated law. The Jones Act requires cargo shipped domestically to be carried on vessels that are U.S.-built, owned, and flagged and crewed by Americans. While originally intended to strengthen American maritime capabilities, it has become a costly, counterproductive barrier to efficient commerce. Its repeal is long overdue." "Reliable, affordable American energy relies not only on what we produce, but on how effectively and efficiently we move it. Policies that increase the cost and complexity of moving our resources, like the proposed Rail Safety Act, will inevitably affect our supply chains." — @TomJPyle
