Los Angeles chapter of AF3IRM: an anti-imperialist, transnational feminist women’s organization. "A Woman's Place is at the Head of the Struggle" -AF3IRM
This May 5th, we demand an end to the system that profits at the expense of our communities and colonized peoples everywhere.
The dehumanization, objectification and exploitation of Indigenous women, girls, and relatives must end.
Imperialist racist patriarchy must end.
From here on Chumash, Tongva, Acjachemen, and Tataviam ancestral lands, we demand:
NO MORE STOLEN SISTERS.
NO MORE STOLEN RELATIVES.
NO MORE GENOCIDE.

We invite you to try your hand at embroidery!

We can't divorce the mass shooting in Maine from state & imperialist violence that threatens women. Imperialism craves an outlet for its violence—be it women & families in Maine or Gaza or any household that suffers domestic violence. (1/2)
The gunman in Maine was a military affiliated marksman who wanted to demonstrate his patriarchal power by targeting a peaceful public. There's a direct throughline that ties this violent tragedy to the high incidence of domestic violence happening in military households. (2/2)

As transnational feminists, we must name the direct correlation between mass shootings and toxic masculinity male violence. The #MontereyPark mass shooting was a direct attack on families at a community event, and as such was a deliberate assault on the sphere of women’s power.
#MontereyPark is predominantly Asian American - we recognize the collective suffering the AAPI community has endured over generations when even on Lunar New Year, a significant time in Asian cultures meant for new beginnings & celebration is overrun by grief & heartache.
As women organizers, we know that women in the movement are subject to particularly brutal political repression but we also know that women have the potential to change the course of history. Follow AF3IRM chapters for #16DaysOfActivism events in the spirit of #LasMariposas#25N
