The first panel discussion of the "Women’s Access to Justice in Afghanistan" event will focus on the implications of the Taliban’s Criminal Procedure Code and related legal frameworks on women’s rights, due process, and access to justice.
This panel will bring together leading experts and practitioners to examine how the developments since August 2021 have reshaped the justice landscape for women in Afghanistan, with insights grounded in law, policy, and lived realities.

Afghan civil society stands united in calling on the UN Security Council to act urgently under Chapter VII. Ongoing hostilities between Pakistan and the Taliban regime have caused devastating civilian harm, displacement, and violations of international law. Immediate action is needed to protect civilians, uphold the UN Charter, and prevent further regional instability.
