ALEX Asset Recovery Update | November 22, 2024
Dear ALEX Community,
We’re providing the latest update on our ongoing asset recovery efforts as part of our continued commitment to transparency and action. While we acknowledge the challenges that remain, we are steadily progressing in our recovery efforts.
🔸 Recoverable Assets Confirmed
Since our last update on October 14, we have been working closely with centralized exchanges (CEXs) under court orders. We are pleased to report the confirmation of a potentially recoverable amount of:
994,622.90 STX
68.75 ETH
321,351.31 USDT
These confirmations mark an important step forward, although the figure does not yet include assets from nine additional CEXs where confirmations are still pending.
🔸 Enhanced On-Chain Tracking
With the recent Nakamoto Upgrade, we’ve significantly enhanced our on-chain tracker, improving our ability to monitor the attacker’s activities. We’ve also expanded this tool to support tracking other incidents beyond the ALEX recovery effort, reinforcing the security infrastructure of the broader Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem.
🔸 Attacker Activity Monitored
Since our last update, the attacker has moved a total of 3,818,288.4 STX, including 7,491.89 STX routed into Swapspace. We continue to monitor these movements closely and are working with all relevant parties to address these developments.
🔸 Protocol Revenue Insights
Amid the ongoing recovery process, the ALEX protocol continues to generate value for its users. Since September 3, the protocol has generated 79,320 STX in revenue from 97 tokens traded on the ALEX AMM. This data remains fully transparent and accessible to the community through our Recovery Overview Dashboard:

We deeply value your patience and steadfast support as we work diligently to resolve this situation. While the journey is complex, our focus remains on recovering and safeguarding assets for the benefit of our community. Together, we will continue to strengthen and evolve the ALEX ecosystem.
Thank you for being a vital part of this effort.
