While #ALS can be genetically passed down, about 90-95% of ALS cases occur in individuals with no family history of ALS. For some individuals, ALS is caused by a gene mutation that can be passed down genetically or occur sporadically.

The US department of #Veteran Affairs has approved to cover RELYVRIO, the new drug recently approved by the FDA to treat ALS. #Veterans living with #ALS will now have access to RELYVRIO through their VA benefits.
