We characterized two genetic targeting systems with modified VoltageFluor dyes (synthesized by @vincentngrenier) that bind to either SpyTag or HaloTag. VoltageSpy is a little more sensitive, while VF-HaloTag gives better staining, and we demonstrate it in cultured neurons.
