The way I knew immediately it was I Don't Want It. Probably my favorite guitar solo of all time.
heard an achingly beautiful song on the radio so I looked it up and it was by Ween

I know I didn't really catch the moment to delve deep into this score when it came out, but reading these insights so many months later, I'm still completely enthralled. It's seriously such a milestone of modern television.

Here's the thread, for context: x.com/AMoverus/status/184219…

Now that #RingsOfPower Season 2 has concluded, it's time to once and for all determine what this mystery theme is about.

However, now this tidbit - that some of the listed instances wasn't even intentional - raises a new mystery: which? I'd wager the one in My Name Is Not Halbrand wasn't intended, though it's really similar to the one in The Battle for Eregion Begins, which probably was. Speculate!

I've got my gripes with people taking these Miyazaki quotes out of context too, but it's extremely wishful thinking to believe he wouldn't be just as (if not more) repulsed by generative AI Ghibli filters.
And yet you leave out a full minute of context, showing that Miyazaki was disgusted by a completely different technology made to generate grotesque body horror. From 8 years ago.

Even disregarding the ethics of the Ghibli AI situation, why do they all have that greenish yellow filter? I've watched every Ghibli movie, none of them look like that.
tremendous alpha right now in sending your wife photos of yall converted to studio ghibli anime

I really can't overstate how thankful I am to these composers, not just for making such an epic, yet sensitive score, but for sitting down and sharing their thoughts and insights with me to make this video possible. youtube.com/watch?v=mIfeKveW…

Weird privilege of knowing Swedish Youtubers is getting to participate in a choir being shot at with paintball pellets to produce a symphony of agonizing screams. ...Did I say privilege? youtube.com/watch?v=yFIxf2gT…

I'm happy to say The War of the Rohirrim was great, and the music was a perfect complement to it. I've booked an interview with Stephen Gallagher later this week, which I'll put up on YouTube ASAP. What questions would you like me to ask?

More original music! Subtle Rohan theme hint at 0:20, and then Hera's theme at 0:52. I'm curious if the three notes at 0:40 is a hint at Wulf's theme.
First clip from ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM’ In theaters on December 13.

Well, there IS a scene with Elves dealing out gifts....
I can’t explain it but Lord of the Rings (specifically Fellowship) is a Christmas movie.
