Father’s Day, and one to remember! I had the pleasure of enjoying a round of golf with my son ⛳️
I hadn’t played for many years and I had injured my shoulder in a running accident around six months ago. Despite a quick recovery I still had a niggling discomfort from my AC joint at the top of my shoulder.
Given this, I thought it would be wise to get my shoulder checked out by a specialist beforehand – which I did on Saturday. Following an appointment and MRI the result was that, yes my shoulder is damaged and could take a while to return to normal – however, what the specialist did say is that I’ve got no arthritic changes beyond the injury, at all! I can therefore throw myself into my exercise and the golf without worrying. Excellent proof of how a healthy diet and lifestyle helps prevent future ailments ✅
And if that’s not enough, when we played the round on Sunday, my son and I hit the ball within TWO METRES of each other on the 13th hole, having both achieved a 240 yard drive! Definitely a Father’s Day we will both remember!
On a more serious note, most people, when asked why they want to stay healthy for longer, say it’s so that they can spend more quality time with close family and friends 💚 I enjoyed the round of golf with my son this weekend and look forward to the next one.
