Congrats to the Knicks and especially to Knick fans. Y’all are real ones! Deserved chip.

Spurs would need to be up by 20 with a minute left for me to feel comfortable they will win. No shade they just are young and can’t close.

This is awesome. Also, explains why Brunson was happy to take a 30-footer: he was probably surprised Wemby was on him then in a split second realized that Spurs had no one big near the basket and thus an OREB was likely. Basketball!
Unreleased footage that shows the Spurs in utter confusion coming out of the timeout before the OG tip in. MUST watch, sound up. Link to full breakdown below 👇🏀

1/ I don't have a Substack, so this old-fashioned tweetstorm Is going to have to suffice for a partially informed, 10 days later set of takes on What Happened in CA-GOV. I'm going to try to avoid the obvious stuff and just add some stuff folks might have missed/forgotten:

11/ I'm STILL surprised by the rapid consolidation. But maybe, crucially, the timing of the implosion - mid-April - was what was made the storm perfect for Becerra. Close enough to the election to force both interests AND voters to choose an option instead of flee to undecided.

12/ This is all political/campaign talk here - others can debate ideology, policy, and the like. I'm just always trying to learn for the next one. And no shade to any of friends in any of these campaigns; hindsight is 20/20 and the fog of war can be thick. Have a good weekend!

I was rinsing conditioner out of my kid’s hair with my phone at the edge of the bath when OG made the tip. Shout out to multitasking.
All time great game. Hope all you watched it like me: on your phone while a three year old hogs the tv watching Dino Dex bc your wife is out at softball practice and left you w the kids.

If that Hilton number is closer to 60, Steyer advances. Fear of lockout is the main reason there was a chance of two top D in the first place, but GOP consolidation is why we didn’t get there.
California is really two primaries in one. If they were separate as in the usual case, the breakdown with the current count would be: Hilton 69% Bianco 28% Other Rs 3% Becerra 45% Steyer 36% Porter 7% Mahan 6% Villaraigosa 2% Thurmond 1% Other Ds 3%

The cost-benefit analysis, to me, is whether it is worth additional $ (and at what level) or reduced voting time to decrease the space in which unscrupulous liars can exploit an information vacuum to sow distrust and spread misinfo. It sucks that it happens, but there is a cost.
Now that we have seen the races for Governor, LA Mayor and all the competitive. Congressional races in CA called, within one week, what are the trolls gonna focus on next? Note: this is faster than AZ in 2024 and 2020, and GA, NV and AK in 2020.
