A 10$ pocket consultant can augment your concussion care program. HRV4biofeedback is evidence based and aligns well with breath as a superpower - šŸ¤• 🧠 unlocked šŸ”“
I’ve been fascinated by HRV since my fellowship, where I learned from the Vaschillos and Paul Lerer for a brief time. Leah Lagos was there and trained me to use HRV-BF to recover from a decade of post-concussion syndrome. I’ve practiced and taught countless athletes since. I give the hard sell, but uptake remains poor. Podcasts like Andy’s will help more athletes understand this. We must bring the ancient wisdom of breath focus as a superpower to the modern world. With today’s technology, it costs about $10 to have an HRV-BF consultant in your pocket full-time.

After three decades as a knee surgeon, I can say this with confidence…. many people are far more limited by the story their MRI report tells them than by the condition of their meniscus or articulation cartilage.

Exactly. Age-appropriate changes.
From @JAMAInternalMed: #RotatorCuff abnormalities on #MRI were found in 99% of adults aged 41 to 76, including 96% of asymptomatic shoulders, indicating most findings are age-related rather than disease. ja.ma/4tLyg4r

ā—~7900 mothers ā—No evidence of association between Tylenol and autism. It seems the larger the study, the less chance of seeing the association. That is a pretty good indicator that there is no real association... pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/article…

Here’s a nice analysis of 2.5M children about Tylenol and autism. The study found a small association between tylenol use in pregnancy and autism, but the association went away in sibling analysis. In sibling analysis you compare children born to the same mother where one child was exposed to Tylenol but not the other. This is a better comparison because genetics are similar between siblings whereas they differ greatly in non siblings from different families. Bottom line: no increased risk of autism with tylenol use in a huge population analysis. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam…

This study indicates that highly active women, especially those with resistance training experience, can safely engage in heavy-load resistance protocols, including supine exercise, without jeopardising fetal well-being.
