What an amazing day at the #igwalkforalz at Lake Wilcox Park in @myRichmondHill . There were balloons, magicians, laughter and tears, a memory garden and a beautiful and moving shoelace ceremony. #thankyou for joining us and raising more than $138,000 for programs and support.

Important notice: It has come to our attention that some homeowners in Markham have been experiencing scam calls from individuals posing as City employees requesting an inspection and installation of flooding protection measures for compliance issues (e.g., sump pumps and backwater valves). The City of Markham does not contact residents by phone to request installation of flooding protection measures, as there is no mandatory compliance requirement related to the Private Plumbing Protection Rebate Program. We advise residents to be vigilant and use caution. If you experience any of these scam phone calls, please report it to plumbingrebate@markham.ca
